3D2N Resort World Genting Trip - Resort Hotel

Many thanks to Resort World Genting, was invited to a 3D2N trip, together with SY,  to cover the event on the launch of Genting Integrated Tourism Plan (GITP). In addition to the event coverage, was impressed with the hospitality of Resort World Genting. The PR ladies from the resort had organized activities to allow us to relax and feel like home. We arrived at Subang Airport, via firefly, and took a limo ride up Resort World Genting. Reaching the resort at 10pm, both of us was already hungry by then. The ladies brought us for supper and there goes our first night!

Woke up early in the morning, spotted the Christmas decorations at First World Plaza. In line with the 'Candylicious Christmas' theme in Resort World Genting, the Christmas decorations here features candies and gingerbread man, cookies and cupcakes!

Our Lunch was filled with surprises! In addition to the spread of international and local delights at Coffee Terrace, matching to the 'Candylicious Christmas' theme was the dessert buffet! We are spoilt for choices!

M 'n' M's Chocolates...

Jelly Beans...

Pebble Stones Chocolates...

 Marshmallows and more!

Cakes and pastries!

And after lunch, the main event started and it's time for real work!

Fox Breaks Ground on Malaysia Resorts World Genting; Twentieth Century Fox World in 2016

After dinner, we proceeded to Snow World at First World Plaza! The temperature was as low as minus 6 degrees Celsius, and for someone like me who had never been to a country with four seasons, the sharp drop in temperature was a climate shock for me! Even though I was wearing warm clothing and gloves, but I could actually felt my lungs were vibrating. So... please wear extra clothing if you visit Snow World!

Posing with a retro telephone booth... but where's the telephone?

With Walter here. Boys will be boys. We will always have that small percentage of mischief in us. ;)

Unfortunately, SY had to leave earlier for his Korea trip. Left the 3 of us here. Yea, only 3 of us in this big snow world! Resort World Genting had made special arrangements so that we were able to take pictures easily. Frankly speaking, I was feeling so cold that I didn't stay there for long...

The next morning I woke up...

Nice sunrise view from my room...

Comparing to a normal afternoon I took the day before.

And some scenery I took at the lift lobby...

Resort Hotel, together with Maxims Hotel are only available for booking to the Silver Genting Rewards Club members. Here's a view of my room.

Comes with a well-furnished washroom too.

Once again, many thanks to Resorts World Genting for the invitation!

Fox Breaks Ground on Malaysia Resorts World Genting; Twentieth Century Fox World in 2016

From left to right: Mr. Jeffrey Godsick - President of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, Y Bhg Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay -Chairman and Chief Executive of Genting Malaysia, YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak - Prime Minister of Malaysia, YA Bhg Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar - Deputy Chairman of Genting Malaysia, Y Bhg Dato' Sri Lee Choong Yan - President and Chief Operating Officer of Genting Malaysia.

Fox names its first theme park in the world, Twentieth Century Fox World, which will feature more than 25 rides and attractions, on the 25-acre of land. Malaysia Resorts World Genting will soon welcome attractions from movies such as Ice Age, Rio, Night at the Museum and Alien vs Predator, just to name a few. 20th Century Fox World Theme Park is part of the RM5 Billion Genting Integrated Tourism Plan, launched last week.

The expansion plan will take place in phases, and will stretch as long as 10 years. Phase 1 developments plans have already started on the Resort World Genting grounds, which includes a new 3-star hotel adjacent to the current First World Hotel, with 1,300 rooms, and the upgrading and refurbishment of the existing hotels, namely Genting Grand, Maxims, Resort Hotel, Theme Park Hotel and First World Hotels.

Other developments also include a 10,000 seating capacity show arena, a new cable car station with a holding capacity of 100 gondolas, the new Genting Premium Shopping Oulets, the 2nd in the country after Johor branch.

And last but not least, one of the major projects is none other than the development of the estimated RM1 billion Twentieth Century Fox World.

Lee Ang and Ben Stiller Congratulates Malaysia and 20th Century Fox on the launch of the theme park.

20th Century Fox breaks its ground in Malaysia, and it's the first in the world. Plans for the development was already formalized in June this year, between Genting and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products. Faced with strong competition in Asia such as Singapore Universal Studios Theme Park and Tokyo Disney Land, Mr. Jeffery Godsick, President of Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products expressed his confidence on the theme park,

"The opening of the first Twentieth Century Fox World theme park at Resorts World Genting takes our rich history of storytelling to a whole new level and will provide an exceptional entertainment experience."

"People from around the world will gather here in Malaysia to become part of the story and to experience the magic and adventure of their favourite Fox properties," added Godsick.

When asked why did the company lands it's foot in Malaysia, but not other places, Mr. Greg Lombardo, vice president of location based entertainment for Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products added,

"Genting as a developer of the world's top resort destinations is a natural and valued partner for Twentieth Century Fox... the creation of a world-class entertainment destination in a vital market like Asia is a landmark step in Fox's global theme park strategy, extending our brand and engaging audiences in new and exciting ways."

Genting Malaysia Chairman and Chief Executive Tan Sri Lim also added,

" With its mix of rides, attractions and movie-fantasy appeal, Twentieth Century Fox World will definitely pave the way for the continued growth of Resorts World Genting with next level family entertainment experience which will attract tourism dollars to Malaysia. "

Tan Sri Lim expressed confidently that with the Genting Integrated Tourism Plans developments and initiatives, this will not only help to boost Malaysia's tourism arrivals, but also help to create about 3.3million new jobs by 2020.

Malaysia Prime Minister YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak also believes that the Genting Integrated Tourism Plan will bring the tourism and integrated resort industry in Malaysia to greater heights, and further enhance its position to a well known destination of choice not only in Malaysia, but also South East Asia.

The Twentieth Century Fox World will replace the outdoor theme park, which has ceased operations since September this year. Took a picture of the current outdoor theme park when I was in Genting last week. Phase 1 developments has already started! Well, but fred not! Visitors can still visit not only the indoor theme park, but also enjoy the Sky Venture, Snow World, 4D Theatre, Indoor Coaster Ride, just to name a few, which continues to bring about family entertainment!

MacDonald's Party for the Adults - Retirement Party!

Last month, was at MacDonald Hougang Street 21 Blk 208 for a special project.A retirement celebration for Victor, who has contributed to Bosch for more than 20 years. He will official retire by end of the year, we've decided to plan an advance celebration for him, before everyone else starts to clear their year end annual leave! Check out the smiles from the picture above, looks like a family portrait yea!

You probably think that MacDonald Party was meant for the kids? Then you're wrong! The restaurant manager told us that the oldest party she ever organized was for a 50 year old man. We created some surprise for her as well, when we told her we plan to organize a retirement celebration for a 65 year old 'uncle' . Haha! She took up this project without hesitation because she wanted to break her own record!

The MacDonald Party idea came from me, cause I attended a secondary school friend 21st birthday few years back. (I'm not very old....) But the coordination part was done mostly by my colleagues Joanne and Christina! I think the hardest part of the entire mission was to 'trick' and bring Victor to Macdonale!

The group knocked off earlier at 5.30pm, and rushed down to Macdonald to decorate the place. My colleagues gave me the task to trick Victor to bring him here. Luckily I had a meeting earlier which ends at 6pm, and poor Victor was waiting for me. I have no idea how the group managed to convince him to wait for me. Haha, but he did know that we are planning a dinner... just that we didn't tell him it was at Macdonald. On the way, he was asking me why and who chose this place, luckily I managed to bluff my way through!

The ladies with Victor...

The ex- export team...

The guys ...

Not forgetting the Veterans who had fought the war together with Victor in Bosch. From left, Gloria, Maureen and Ann have all worked for more than 40 years in Bosch Automotive Singapore already. Salute to their long service towards this company!

The sporting Victor also gave us few poses when we asked him to. Without hesitation, he was all set to pose for the camera!

Pre-ordered this cake in a neighbourhood cakeshop in Bishan, just beside Koi... cause they were able to design and bake what we wanted.

We then had some special entertainment for Victor and the guest. Christina ( the lady in black ) actually bought her kids' music instruments and we just made do with what we had, singing along to the tune of twinkle twinkle little stars, but we changed the lyrics to connect closely to Victor's heart.

Frankly speaking, this year, we already had quite a number of people bidding farewell, and Victor will be missed definitely. He's like a mentor and father to many of us, sometimes naggy, but they are actually wise words which guided us along, and sometimes serve as encouragement to keep junior staff like us going...

If you would like to find out more on McDonald's party cost, and minimum pax... probably this link will help you:

Finding back the old Double-Image

Been blogging lesser. Started to ponder what was my main objective when I began blogging few years back. It all started with a form of way to let my friends to catch up with what I had been doing, and also was to release my stress from army. As time passes by, I realized the purpose of blogging slowly switched to more commercialize...

Probably need to find back the old double-image... the blog which used to be more simple. I'm glad I've started out blogging earlier. Not some famous blogger, but had path my own digital footprints... a more than 20 years of childhood friend was able to find me on the internet. We've lost contact... but the power of social media bring us back together again!

Will be stepping away from the complicated bloggers "industry" for a while... shall steer myself away from the polluted commercialize blogs. =)
